Dr. Mohammad Hurmat Ali is a designated Transport Canada Marine Medical Examiner — mariners and seafarers can complete the medical examination required for their certificate right here in Delta, BC.
In-clinic procedures
Crescent Health offers a range of in-clinic minor surgical procedures, helping you avoid unnecessary hospital wait times for common conditions.
Removal of benign skin lesions including sebaceous cysts, lipomas, and draining of abscesses — performed safely in our clinical setting. Some charges may apply depending on services provided.
Wedge resection of ingrown toenails and, where necessary, complete nail removal to resolve chronic or severe cases.
Suturing of lacerations and wounds, as well as removal of staples and sutures following procedures or injuries.
Punch biopsy and excisional biopsy for skin lesions requiring pathological assessment.
Removal of embedded foreign bodies such as splinters, wood fragments, and metallic objects from skin and soft tissue.
Circumcisions are available at our clinic. Vasectomy services are available — please contact us to discuss suitability and arrange a consultation.
Uninsured services
The BC Medical Services Plan (MSP) doesn't cover every service. The items below are billed directly to the patient — call us at 236-466-2586 for current fees.
We provide medical assessments and reporting for ICBC (motor vehicle accident) and WorkSafeBC (WCB) claims. These are billed to the claim, not MSP — please call us at 236-466-2586 with your claim number to book this type of appointment.
Driver's medical examinations for BC commercial licence classes 1–4, completed on the standard RoadSafetyBC form. Bring your licence and the RoadSafetyBC request letter. Call 236-466-2586 to book.
Both procedures are available at our clinic. As elective procedures, they aren't MSP-insured services — contact us to discuss suitability and arrange a consultation.
Notes for work, school, or other purposes aren't an MSP-insured service and are billed directly to the patient.
Patients without valid BC MSP coverage — including visitors from other provinces or countries — are responsible for the full cost of their visit.
Our physicians also complete a range of third-party medical forms and certificates. These are administrative services, not medical care, and are billed separately from your visit.
