Privacy Policy
Last updated: 13 August 2026
This policy explains what information Crescent Health collects through this website, why we collect it, and what choices you have. It covers the website only — information collected during your medical care is governed separately by your clinical records and by BC health privacy law.
What this website collects
We deliberately collect as little as possible. This website does not ask for, store, or transmit any health information.
Anonymous page counts
We count page views on our own server so we can see which pages are useful. We do not store your IP address. It is combined with your browser type and that day's date into a one-way code that cannot be turned back into you, and the daily totals are deleted after about 13 months. This uses no cookies and is not shared with anyone.
Google Analytics — only if you agree
If you press Accept on the notice at the bottom of the page, we load Google Analytics, which sets cookies and sends your IP address and the pages you view to Google. Nothing is requested from Google until you accept. If you decline, or simply ignore the notice, no request is ever made. Advertising and cross-device features are switched off.
Booking
Our online booking runs on a third-party provider and opens in a separate window. Anything you enter there is handled under that provider's privacy policy, not this one. We do not receive or store your booking form data on this website.
Maps
Our contact page and footer embed a Google map. Loading it tells Google you visited that page.
What we do not do
- We do not collect health information through this website.
- We do not sell, rent, or trade information about visitors.
- We do not use advertising trackers or build advertising profiles.
- We do not require an account or a login to read any public page.
Your choices
You can change your mind at any time.
- Decline analytics using the notice at the bottom of this page, or clear this site's data in your browser to be asked again.
- Browsers that send a "Do Not Track" or global privacy signal are respected — analytics stays off unless you actively accept.
- You may ask us what information we hold about you, ask for a correction, or withdraw consent, by contacting us below.
How long we keep it
Anonymous daily page counts are kept for about 13 months and then deleted automatically. Google Analytics data, if you accepted it, is retained by Google under their own terms. Server logs used to keep the site secure are kept only as long as needed to investigate faults and abuse.
Security
This site is served only over an encrypted HTTPS connection. Administrative access requires a password plus a one-time code sent by email, and administrative areas are blocked from public access at the web-server level.
